Kohli & Kaliher designed and inspected this $915,000 bridge replacement project for the Allen County Engineer. An existing three span filled concrete arch over the Ottawa River within the City of Lima was replaced with a three-span (48’-48’-48’ c/c bearings) composite prestressed concrete box beam superstructure bridge supported on reinforced concrete wall abutments and piers founded in bedrock. In order to construct the new bridge, 315 feet of 20” diameter waterline had to be relocated. The construction of this project was completed in the summer of 2002.
