PUT-C.R. 3-10.40

This project involved the design of a new bridge over the Blanchard River on new alignment in the Village of Gilboa, Ohio. Approximately 2550 linear feet of roadway work was also required, both in the construction of the new roadway alignment and bridge approach embankment and necessary work on intersecting side roads both inside and outside of the village. The proposed structure was a four span (75’ c/c bearings each span), prestressed concrete box beam superstructure supported on reinforced concrete capped pile abutments and reinforced concrete wall abutments founded in bedrock. As part of the design, extensive consideration and analysis was placed on raising the profile of Main Street to eliminate regular flooding in the area. Construction inspection was also performed by Kohli & Kaliher and this $980,000 project was completed in 2003 for the Putnam County Engineer.
