An existing four span warren truss over the Auglaize River was replaced with a five span (90’ c/c bearings each span) non-composite prestressed concrete box beam superstructure bridge supported on capped pile abutments and drilled shaft cap and column piers. The total project length of 1650 feet (including the bridge) incorporated a new horizontal alignment that eliminated two sharp curves at each bridge approach.
