LIDAR Explorer was created as a solution for storage and retrieval of large datasets of elevations collected by LIDAR systems. It can retrieve coordinates in real time from it's compressed dataset as well as retrieving raw data points usable in other applications and contour data. Features:
- Displays coordinates in real time from large compressed datasets.
- Data points from a selected area can be extracted in several different modes including: actual LIDAR datapoints and points on a fixed grid.
- Contour data can be extracted in DXF and AutoCAD script format.
- Point and Contour data can be extracted in multiple different datum (ex: NAVD88 and NGVD29)
- Section and property lines are displayed for reference.
- The database can be split up and distributed in smaller sections making distribution of the database easier.

- Allen County, Ohio - Data is available directly from the county engineer's office.
